Thats quite possibly true. The general reaction towards the people just using the keys (who don't have GW) seems to be calling them n00bs and stuff. If I was trying out a new game to see if I would buy it, but all I got was "OMG you r a n00b go back and **** your mum" then it wouldn't encourage me to get the full version at all.
And if you're complaining about not getting faction BBoy, then why don't you go and be an SS Necro and farm Assassins? I don't think that is picking on them in the sense I posted above, its teaching them. Sooner or later they will realise its that hex in the top corner called Spiteful Spirit thats killing them, but that it only hurts them when they attack. I think its good training for them.

Yeah, that's pretty much the case. But in both cases, people KEEP PLAYING, which would bode well...

I really don't understand WHY people behave like this (BBoy) when these events happen. Everytime people are given access to something new they will want to use it. So why not prepare for this? Put on your helpful face (if you have one that is) be kind to new players, be gracious if you are defeated, don't blame the game for other people's mistakes (look, M-I-S-T-A-K-E-S), don't blame your team if they don't know how to use the classes effectively and above all, accept that SS Necro's will pass, their time is coming,as is the IWAY team's (the Zaishen are training armies of Anti-IWAY groups).
So for all that is good in Guild Wars, please just try to relax and accept other people's faults and your own.
Just my 2 pence.

Since you can't seem to find a monk in random arean (which is dumb to think you will get one even in 1 out of 5 matches) why don't you play a monk yourself and stop complaining?
Sorry for the FREE update. Sorry for the FREE preview of chapter 2 before we buy it. Sorry for FREE training grounds that allow you explore skills more in depth.
Ya Anet ruined my life too so I think I'll keep playing. Ya, that will show them.

EDIT: you all seem to be taking what i said too far
i said its been crappy SO FAR, it might get much better for me, i just needed to vent a little

UAS disaster: during the last beta weekend, ANet added a button to character creation that allowed you to unlock all the skills for that weekend only. Since then, people have whined that they want the button back as faction takes to long to earn and they don't want to have to pve to make their pvp character better. It was a nice thing on behalf of ANet that ended up going bad due to some lazy cry babies.

there is even a screenshot somewhere around here that has the words
UNLOCK ALL SKILLS FOR BETA WEEKEND EVENT
Anet was called liars, cheats etc and there must have been more people banned from forums (here and others) for flaming Anet Gaile/Alex than on any other topic
EDIT
i think that is why they are being so careful on slot numbers because they can raise the number later but never lower it.

hehe - free updates sort of tie into the 'no internet fees' drum that ANET keeps banging. So using 'free (pvp)update', 'free (pvp) training grounds' and 'free (pvp) preview' to iterate a point is kind of....pointless I guess.

Unlocking all the skills? That would basically screw up the game, you know...It wouldn't be any fun if you didn't have to work for the skills...I mean, seriously.

I got about 50,000 faction this weekend, not a bad take. This was from a mix of RA, TA, and GvG.
RA-I honestly did not see a skill difference. People tend to be absolutely horrible and you can't rely on your teammates to ever to their job even halfway properly. Even with all the new people I saw no decline in the average skill level. It was horrible before the event and was horrible during the event.
TA-Had a lot of fun here. Developed and ran a build utilizing the assassin (but not an assassin heavy build.) Tore through the place, many matches won around the 1 minute mark.
GvG-No use of new roles here. Three days is too little time to learn new classes and intergrate their playing styles into builds. However overall we had a number of good games. On the last day we had an amazing game vs Spectral Agony that was pretty much dead even the whole match. One of the few VoD matches were both teams are still fighting at the flagstand when VoD starts.
As for UAS, the issue isn't so much the button or what happened that weekend. The issue is A.net's maltreatment of PvP in general. For a good three months into the game the only way to unlock items and skills was grinding your butt off in PvE. You had to run through the game at least 3 times and farm tengu and hill giants endlessly to unlock the superior runes you need for competitive PvP play. This stunted PvPs growth severely and directly went against A.net's promise of PvP being about skill and not how much time you spend leveling your character and collect items. When A.net first implemented faction they spit in the face of every PvP player out there. The amount of faction gained was ridiculously slow and you could not unlock anything with it. You still had to play PvE and could only unluck the obscure hard to get item or skill with faction. The increase in faction gain a month later helped, but it still has a lot to consider (the rewards for GvG are probably still too low.)
Some of the staunchest supporters of UAS will gain nothing from it, they are already UAS. They just know how miserable it is to go through the unlocking process and the absolutely massive barriers to entry that PvP has. They seek to lower these barriers, but ironically most of the very people they are trying to help fight against it. If you are very successful with PvP you can gain tons of faction to unlock with. However if you aren't already well unlocked you aren't going to be very successful with PvP.
The arguement isn't just give us all the skills either. It is about doing multiple things to help the PvP environment flourish and to help players get into PvP. Let's face it, the first thing a player gets when they try to learn PvP is a kick in the teeth.

For most PvP players the fun is in the thrill of a good match. Developing intricate builds and putting them against other teams with excellent builds. If you enjoy grinding PvP players don't want to interfere with that. In the PvE environment you can grind until your heart is content to get the skills for your PvE character. However at the same time those who PvP would have easier access to skills and equipment they need to stay competitive.
